About

Combat-forged storytelling from a fish-out-of-water lens.

Chad D. Ayinde is an Army Veteran and multi-time award-winning Creative Producer, writer, and director based in Los Angeles. He holds an MFA in Film Producing from the New York Film Academy (LA) and is an honor graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

An alumnus of the Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project and the Academy of Nicholl Fellowships' Diverse Reader Workshop, his work has earned festival Best of Show awards globally and screened at the Steven J. Ross Theatre at Warner Bros.

A caramel kid born into a Black and white world, his work explores family, faith, and survival in spaces not built for traditional success — bending genres with a "fish out of water" perspective rooted in inclusion, cross-platform storytelling, and authentic voice.

Voices

From the writers' room to the set.

"
Chad's coverage didn't just tell me what wasn't working — it told me what the script was actually trying to be. I rewrote my second act in a weekend.

Mara Whitfield

Independent Screenwriter

"
He ran my set like it was a Sunday service and a battalion at the same time. Calm, deliberate, and nobody went into overtime. Rare in indie film.

Devon Park

Director, ‘Lowlight’

"
Sliding Scale Studios stepped into our pre-pro three weeks out and saved the shoot. Budget reorg, location swap, permits filed — all without drama.

Isabela Crane

"
His notes are the kind you don't argue with at first, then thank him for six months later when the project finally sells.

FAQ

Common questions.

Pricing is determined per-project after a short discovery call. Rates flex with scope, stage of development, and the resources behind the project — so emerging filmmakers and established teams can both be served honestly without a fixed rate card.

Standard turnaround for a feature is 7 business days; shorts and pilots typically return in 3–5. Expedited 48-hour coverage is available on request, subject to slate availability.

A signed safety plan tailored to the location, a documented daily call sheet, departmental check-ins each morning, weapons/SFX protocols when relevant, and a clear chain of command so any cast or crew member can stop work without penalty.

Yes. Sliding Scale Studios works nationally with travel built into the engagement, and remotely for development, coverage, and notes. On-set 1st AD work requires scouting and a pre-pro window discussed during intake.
